Strong Start
Strong Start is a program that offers today’s families an opportunity to provide their young children with problem-solving skills and the social skills that will help them successfully manage in school or within the community.
Strong Start programs are accessible in Nelson and Crawford Bay.
Strong Start is a free early learning program for pre-school children 0–5 years old and their parents, grandparents or caregivers.
We utilize British Columbia’s Early Learning Framework to guide and support Strong Start Facilitators in providing rich early learning experiences for young children.
To register, please complete the fillable registration form, and email to clerical.roe@sd8.bc.ca, or drop in during the program time and speak to the facilitator for more options when you arrive.
Come to enjoy gym time, free play, circle time with songs, stories and crafts provided during each session. Snacks will be provided during the program.
