Kootenay Kids Early Care and Learning Centre
Our staff has worked in the field of early child education (ECE) for years, as pioneers, advocates and educators. Our educators have ECE certification, ECE Assistant certification, and as a minimum, Responsible Adult Certification. Many have supplemental training and specialties within the field itself. Kootenay Kids currently operates one full time group daycare centre.
Unlike many daycare facilities, Early Care and Learning Centre was designed and built for children.
What We Offer
Kootenay Kids Early Care and Learning Centre offers care for infants and toddlers, 3-5 years old children and multi-age programming. The infant and toddler program and the multi-age program is separated from 3-5 program allowing for safer more age appropriate activities. Snacks are prepared and served twice daily, and healthy, basic nutrition forms an important component of our philosophy of care.
Our toys and activities are developmentally appropriate to foster physical, emotional, intellectual, creative and social growth.
The educators strive to keep parents informed and aware of their children’s daily events. Sleep and bathroom schedules are posted and maintained for each parent to review on a daily basis. Other news is passed on in the monthly newsletter and through notices and information boards.
