Aboriginal Early Intervention

Children hold a sacred place in the cultures of Indigenous peoples. With that comes a sacred responsibility to care for them.
Gather to share stories, food and friends.
Our Aboriginal Early Intervention program provides support for families and children ages 0–6 who self-identify as First Nations, Métis or Inuit.
The program includes family gatherings, traditional parenting programs and home support for families in need.
Aboriginal Family Gatherings
Every two weeks, families, Elders and program staff gather to share stories, supper and cultural experiences such as crafts, drumming, and storytelling. We welcome families with children whose heritage is First Nations, Metis or Inuit living in the West Kootenay.
