Dinner and Film, Bones of Crows

The Family Place is hosting a meal served at 5pm followed by a showing at 6pm of the film Bones of Crows (2022). The film is described as “Cree code talker Aline Spears survives her traumatic past in Canada’s residential school system to continue her family’s generational fight against systemic starvation, racism and sexual abuse. This important, difficult and heart wrenching movie may illicit strong reactions from the audience. We will have an experienced counselor on site to provide support and help facilitate a compassionate discussion afterwards.
